CFRC 101.9 FM Queen's Radio, The Kingston FreeSchool and OPIRG Kingston are hosting Media Democracy Day events on Saturday October 18th! All events are free!

10:30am-12:30pm
Audio editing workshop - learn to record and edit content to produce your own news! (space limited)
Media and Representation: Who's Voices are Missing? - facilitated by hosts of The Massive, a radio program run by the Queen's Coalition Against Racial and Ethnic Discrimination.

1pm-3pm
Build your own FM radio transmitter workshop! (space limited)
Scott Uzelman, Postdoctoral Fellow in Sociology at Queens, will present a talk and discussion "Hard at Work in the Bamboo Garden: Media Activists and Social Movements"

4pm - film screening of Pirate Radio USA
